This album is probably the most striking thing that has ever happened to me musically. I still can't get used to the richness and unpredictability of the sound, it keeps me surprised after so many listenings. The voice sample in the title track is especially noteworthy. First, I couldn't fully discern the words. But one day I saw the iconic film the sample is taken from — and it was mind-bending to realize that I'm hearing that very phrase. The album is so special and unique to me.

The paradigm of long-form ambient was formed through the works of Namlook and Inoue. Explorative music takes listeners on memorable voyages through unfamiliar worlds. This music instills a range of scenes--from isolated, cold, abstract spaces to the warm glow of a beautiful expanse unfolding before you (ex. the final song "Xxxx"). A masterpiece by two pioneers in electronic music made way back in 1995.
